It is actually a poem turned song. Let it touch you, heal you, minister to you.
Every morning I wake I see the love that drips from your cross
New mercies and benefits laid up for us daily
Constantly hearing the call to sup at your table
To forever recognize your worth and kindness
Thatís why I call on you

The story behind my song
Forever you pour out strength and glory
Blood shed with purifying power
You graced the cross for all of creation
Every man, woman and child
We stand to call upon your name
You are the story behind my song

Doubted and betrayed before your eyes
I hear the perpetual cry to press to the end
Many hearts wax cold for times we are in
By my story told by grace is worth my dedication
Thatís why I call on you

The story behind my song
Forever you pour out strength and glory
Blood shed with purifying power
You graced the cross for all of creation
Every man, woman and child
We stand to call upon your name
You are the story behind my song
