One Morning
By: Rick Flowers
When I wake up one morning
And find I’m old and gray
I hope I can look in the mirror
And know I never lost my way
When I wake up one morning
And see the wrinkles on my face
I can say I lived a good life
Within God’s loving grace
When I wake up one morning
And my strength has faded away
I hope my friends and family
Will be by my side that day
When I wake up one morning
And find it’s time to go
I’ll know I made a difference
And that God had made it so
When I’ve breathed my final breath
And board the Glory train
I hope the sun is shining
To help and ease the pain
For I do not want my loved ones
To be sad and grieve for me
For one day I will greet them
Into Heaven for eternity.
