TITLE: WHAT HAPPENS IN THE DARK?

It’s easy to pledge your allegiance
But at night
What happens in the dark?
When sin’s heavy blanket
Attempts to smother you
When temptation woos you
What do you do in the surrounding darkness?
Remember no one’s looking
No one really knows what you might be doing
You could tell yourself: “Just a little sin”
“I can always get away with it”.
The good news is you ‘can’
But there’s something about the man
Who drives out a demon but leaves his heart an empty space
He always ends up in a worse state.
You could still be called ‘holy brother’ or ‘virtuous sister’
You could still maintain your reputation as God’s servant full of power
But when it’s judgment day
Every veil shall be torn away.
Judgment day is really not as far as you think
You could call it pay day
It starts when you begin to reap
The fruits of every covenant with sin you’ve made.
Every consent to sin is a covenant
A contract with hidden clauses
To each one the devil will later make references
To justify his claim to your life and destiny
To consume and leave no remnant.
Friend, safeguard your destiny
Every time sin calls is an opportunity
To say no and take a stand
To always remain faithful – even in the dark.
