This poem was written after a loved one died. As much as it pained me to be there, God was with me to ease the burden. This poem reflects not only this time, but all the times I've lost someone I loved.
If there were somewhere to be it would not be here.
Sadness fills this place solely by those who appear.
Their tears discomfort me as I stare at the floor.
I disguise my own tears as I walk through the door.
Words of encouragement hold me in times like this.
I fill my mind of the warm memories of bliss.
It would help but for this uncomfortable time.
Itís as if the hands on the clock refused to climb.
Loved ones come from miles around to ease mourning hearts.
This place reminds us how frail the sum of our parts.
Despite our heartís emotions, life can still find peace.
Learning to let go is the souls healthy release.
