Damsel In Distress
I was but a damsel in distress
Tormented to the point where I could get no rest
My mother once told me if ever in trouble,
Call on Lord Jesus and he’d be there on the double
I thought of my mother and did like she said,
I cried out Lord Jesus and fell on my bed
Like a knight on a white horse he did come unto me,
And with his mighty sword he did set me free
How grateful am I for the words of my mother
Who taught me that I should never call on no other
By Alfreda Johnson Byars
Psalms 91:14 therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.
Proverbs 6. Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
