A Day Like Today
By: Rick Flowers
On a day like today
With the sun shining down
Brightening our way
Spreading warmth all around
To see the trees budding
The flowers come to life
Somehow brings comfort
In the midst of our strife
On a day like to day
Amidst dissension
To the creator above
We turn our attention
For it is He
Who hath given this day
To live as we choose
To Him we say
Thank you for giving
This beautiful land
As our temporary home
You made it so grand
One could not ask
For anything more
You made it so perfect
This earthly shore
Bless us oh Lord
Till we see you face to face
May we always be amazed
At your amazing grace.
