What you are supposed to see in me and what people might see in me.
Repent of your sins
for their will come a day
when I myself can not take your place
it is the day of judgment
that will come to all man
and only you will have to stand

stand before me the Lord
while I show you things you did
and then I'll question why you hid
for I was there and taking your place
but then you shamed me by turning away
and people looked upon you and looked down upon me

I am to be looked up to and not put away
for you were my helper in showing my grace
and when they seen you hide your face
they judged me and ask: is this a God we want to praise
we do not want to live ashamed and they turned
and their hearts were hardened by the look on your face

so these are the things I ask of you
turn not your head, nor your face
let them see my glorious grace
do not put shame upon my name
instead tell them of my Crucifixion day
the day when I hung on that wooden cross

and took a beating for their thoughts
they were not my thoughts but yours that took me to that place
but I took your sins on that hill and prayed to the father for your will

your will to be broken and his to reign
and that is were you'll find my name
on the hill at calvary dying for your sins
asking for forgiveness and pleading within
taking your place once again
