What I need and what he gives to me daily.
I need an angel can’t you see
someone I can carry with me
someone I can talk to or just know their there
I need an angel to stand with me
stand tall against the things of the world
for I know if I’m alone I could break with just a word
but when he’s there I have a strength
something I can’t explain just a feeling I guess
I need an angel to talk to me
he keeps me quiet from talking about thee
for in the Bible God hates an idle tongue
so he sends an angel to help me along
I need an angel to help me sleep
he clears my head by singing to me
erases all the thoughts from the day
and sings me to sleep peacefully
he wakes me with a peaceful bliss
only to start the day over again
but never to start all alone
for he’s always there all day long
