Psalms 100:4 KJV - Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
A Praising Heart
There’s no room for self-pity in a praising heart,
Even if life didn’t give you a real good start.
In Christ, heartaches are conquered from your dark past.
Let them go and receive true deliverance, at long last!
I have found the secret, so when you’re feeling down;
Praise and glorify God’s name, and hope will abound.
I have learned from experience, as you will also see;
Praising God in the hard times sets your spirit free!
Praise Him early morning, as soon as you awake,
You will find your day, much easier will make.
Praise Him as you go about all your daily chores,
Praise Him as you’re mopping those kid-dirty floors.
With songs of thanksgiving present in your heart,
There is no room for self-pity, not even in part.
Praise Him afternoons, when your workday’s done.
For helping you accomplish all that you've begun.
Praise Him in the evening for the beauty of the night,
For the moon and stars that give us His illuminating light.
Praise Him for the blessings He’s given you today.
As you begin to count them, you will be amazed!
A praising heart will give you a countenance new.
Self-pity only succeeded in making you blue.
A praising heart is pleasing to the Father up above,
To let Him know that it’s Him we love,
Because He first loved us ………
