It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

well this is a bit of an epic for me! i usually write relatively short poems so this is definitely out of the ordinary for me...it was cool though how God gave me this poem...! i do not know how artistically sound it is (that of course is what i would like to hear from all of you!) but i do know that the Lord is good and gives us a word when we ask...this is what i got when i asked last night!
A Thought Collage (A Prayer)

In these times of waiting
Times that do my patience test.
May I know that in due time they too will pass
And that I ought to use them to fulfill Your best.

Help me in this time, to keep my dreams alive
To keep them fresh and new…
To remember that the winter brings the spring
And the rain a sky clear and blue.

Each new day brings me closer to the finish
Draws me a little closer to the end.
Am I ready – ready to meet what lies ahead?
May my firm reliance be on You Jesus, my greatest Friend.

Let Your praises rise continually from my heart.
Not just for Your gifts of good things
But for Your glory, honor and majesty
For the continual mercy Your sacrifice on the Cross to my life brings.

Let my mind not wander away from You.
May it dwell not on things here on earth
But may my dreams and desires and delights be in You alone
And may a Christ centered vision in me be birthed!

Help me Lord to simply be obedient
And in all my obeying not to forget Your love.
A love that calls me Your friend, Your daughter
Love that secures victory here on earth and a final home in Heaven above

In You Lord let me place my trust and my faith
For it is in You alone that I find all that is true.
Let my strength and my song be in You, Jesus
May my life be spent in whole-hearted pursuit of You.

May I ever remember that You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You
And that if I will seek it is You that I shall find
And that if I will knock, the door You shall open
And Your peace which passes all understanding will guard my heart and my mind.

Abiding in You Jesus I have no fear!
Through life’s trials and temptations I need not simply cope
For I will never be forsaken and never be ashamed
When in You and Your Word I place my hope!
