THIS I WILL DO TODAY

Today I will look at people with pity, not envy, because each of them have needs that I may not be able to see.

I will always try to see only the good in people, even the ones that seem evil, because I know that everyone has some good in them.

I will not pity myself, because all around me I see people truly in need of pity.

Today I will ask God to renew my strength and faith, because this is truly all that is important.

Today I will ask God to keep my heart pure and my mind open to the many good things in my life.

If God would grant me but one request it would be to have the resolve to live my life the way he wants me to.

How long I will live is not for me to know, but now because I have God in my life it matters not for now I am prepared to go.

I will be ever diligent of the evil that surrounds me, and not stray from Gods grace; for only by following him will I have my eternal place.

I will say a prayer for those who do not know the way because I know that someone must have done so for me, or I would never have been able to see.

I pray that God will show his mercy, because try as I will I always come up short of his expectations.

Everyone, no matter how evil, ugly, or stupid they seem to me has something to teach me, if it is only compassion for them.

Instead of complaining about my misfortune I will give thanks for all the good things I have and most of all for my good health and newfound ability to see the good in my fellow man.

I have wasted the better part of my life searching for something I could have found in a few minutes of prayer.

Because my feeble human mind is not capable of understanding the things I cannot see, or touch, I will put my trust in the hands of my Creator and Savior. Only they know these things and only through them will I ever be able to understand
