TITLE: Our Forefather's Plea

I listend to the news of Target banning the phrase Merry Christmas, and other store following suit. I sat here thinking, what would our founding father's say to us? Here's what I came up with.
I left you a land
Built on my back
Where you could worship
And serve the Lord

For every race
To have one place
That is what this
Great nation was for.

But to hear that the stores
Donít want any more
Of the legacy of Christ
That we left.

I look on you with pain,
Praying that once again
Christ will save
The freedoms taken by theft

Freedoms and liberties
Tossed in the wind
And each man is
Screaming his rights

As the Christians fall silent
Their toils increasing
Each day that dawns
Brings new fights

Prophecies warned
Of this turn of events
We all prayed
They would never come true

I stand with your forefathers
In silence and awe
Praying youíll choose
The right thing to do

Bring God back to your nation
Great American land
And see his favor
Descend

Take it from me
The land of the free
Was a nation
That was founded on Him
