HELP TOUR

It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

I wrote this about 6 years ago whilst I was ill. I was asked by a consultant to describe the pain I was experiencing; but before I had a chance to do so he was called away and did not return. I wrote this when I got home from that appointment. Praise God for the healing He has done through me since that time - it seems like a world away now. Thanks for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it is not very uplifting.
Pain

diamond tipped teeth of ice bite into the flesh
and the pain bites deep, deeper
muscles jerk, twisted and ripped, spat out in a flash
venus moon flesh spat out by mars on wednesday
just another wednesday

diamond tipped teeth of ice melt and boil
molten lava burning the flesh
the smell of burning blood rich and rank
like hot tin on the toungue
but it is wednesday, just another wednesday
and the washing sits waiting.
