Revision of original "Ten Little Monkeys"
Ten Little Monkeys
By Gina Martin2004
One little monkey trying to tie his shoe,
Asked a friend to help…
Then there were two.
Two little monkeys climbing up a tree,
Joined their tails to make a swing…
Then there were three.
Three little monkeys hiding behind a door,
Found another monkey…
Then there were four.
Four little monkeys learning to swim and dive,
Jumped into a pond…
Then there were five.
Five little monkeys practicing karate kicks,
Looked to find another…
Then there were six.
Six little monkeys pretending to be in heaven,
Looked for another angel…
Then there were seven.
Seven little monkeys playing Patty Cake,
One needed a partner…
Then there were eight.
Eight little monkeys swinging on a vine,
Made a monkey ladder…
Then there were nine.
Nine little monkeys marching like soldier men,
Needed two straight lines…
Then there were ten.
Ten little monkeys having fun playing pretend,
Everyone needing a friend.
