Or did you come yourself to take all those frightened souls home?
Did you look down in agony and see disaster take its tole?
Did you shed one thousand tears for each unprepared soul?
Were you busy making room for all those folks in their new home?
Did you make sure each one was given one last chance to atone?
Forgive me for all these questions, Lord, I do not understand.
Does it take a lot of people to maintain the Promised Land?
So many disasters in such a small amount of time,
If it isn’t an earthquake or hurricane, It’s a religious crime.
There must be a reason, Is it your plan to renew?
When it is time, will you help me do my part to see it through?
All the water in the hurricane, was it tears shed from your own eyes?
Does it cause you pain when people turn from you and accept Satan’s lies?
Will you lead me Lord, to do the job you have planned for me?
When I come home will I get my turn to sit at a banquet set for me?
Will you be there when disaster strikes once more, and give us power?
Hold our heads up until the storm has passed and we reach the quiet hour?
My eyes have questions my heart already knows the answers to.
You will be there waiting to guide and comfort us, get us through.
