Callie, Sent From Heaven
by Chandra Mathis
A puff of muticolored fur with gold eyes filled
with light;here she comes tumbling down the
stairs to my delight.
She quickly bounces to her feet, off she goes at
full speed. Suddenly with a leap through the
air , Callie is swinging from the chandelier . I
look with amazement at this critter, and wonder
why on earth did I ever get her?
Callie , thinks she’s a monkey instead of a cat.
I can see why she is confused, she flies through
the air like an acrobat. I promise , I am much
amused. She may get on my last nerve, I get from
her what I deserve. I come to a conclusion as I
hold her near. I could never find anything quite
so dear . So she really is worth the keeping,
while she is sleeping.
Sent from heaven especially for me, my sweet little Callie
