Your Mercy, Bestow
My heart was breaking as I watched the news,
The hurricane refugees looked so confused.
It seemed no help was coming their way,
So I got on my knees and began to pray.
Lord, keep them safe and away from harm,
Give them strength to get through this storm.
Allow Your peace to enter their hearts,
Give them Hope only Your love imparts.
Help them realize You are sovereign God,
You were in control with the first lightning rod.
Why these things happen, only You know,
Help them be humble, and Your mercy, bestow.
These things I pray, in my Saviour’s holy name,
And I know You will do them, so I will proclaim!
Our God is still up there on heaven’s throne,
He will never forsake us or leave us alone.
