TITLE: The Question?

This is my first attempt at writing non-fiction. I hope that I dont ramble too much.
why are you here? Why are we here? This is a question that every thoughtful person has asked at one time or another.

The philosopher may tell you the question is unanswerable. The Physicist may tell you the question is irrelevant. The evolutionist may tell you the answer is by chance but I tell you the answer is by design.

Everything you see in the universe exists for one purpose and one purpose only. That purpose is the expression on God's Love. 1 John 4:8 (NIV) reads as follows, "Whosoever does not love does not know God, because God is love". God is Love and Love requires expression. But what expression does Love require?

John 15:13 (NIV) states "Greater Love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." There is no greater Love than God so for God to express himself he needs to lay down his life.

But how can God die? For God to die a part of himself had to become flesh and blood like us, that person is Jesus Christ. The one event of Jesus Christ's death was God sacrificing himself to express his love.

For a sacrifice to have any meaning. The one you are sacrificing yourself for must be in danger. The danger we are in is spending eternity in Hell. If we were not in danger of Hell, The death that Jesus died would be for nothing.

What is our part in this expression of God's Love. We are the object of God's Love. The way we accept Jesus sacrifice for us is to give our life back to Him.

My reason for existing is to be the object of GOD's Love and in a world that is cold and heartless, I think that's something I can live it.
