A STOLEN DEER STAND

On Friday night November 11, 2011, my husband and I went to my deer stand, after dark to put out corn. I now wish I had climbed up into my stand, but I didnít.
Upon arriving early Saturday morning as I climbed up into my stand I could tell things were not right.
For those who do not know, a deer stand is a very personal possession. You have your chair set at just the right height for you. I have a small folding table to set my camera, binoculars, and water bottle on. I also have an extra folding chair incase a grandchild wants to come with me. The camo curtains are split in just the right places, for my gun.
Everything had been rearranged to fit the intruder, who had used my stand Friday morning and possible Friday evening.
To say that I was upset would have been an under statement.
My chair had been jacked up for whomever. My small table was pushed over to the side. The screens were torn for them, to see out. My folding chair was moved to the back of the stand.
I could not get my chair un jacked, so I could see out my windows. I literally had to push my main chair aside and set up the folding chair on 2 by 4ís. The 2 by 4ís were usually used for foot props. I had to so all this so my gun would rest on the rail so I could be able to shoot.
All that morning, I was terrible upset and could not concentrate on nothing but who did this? I felt like someone had invaded my home and stole my quiet time with the Lord. Not only the quiet time but the peace that I always feel while in my stand. I just sit there and wait on the Lord. While waiting on a deer.
Around 10:00 Mike came walking up behind me, ready to go. I told him what had happened and he said we would work on it.
We walked out to the main highway and crossed the road to the church parking lot. Once I turned the key in my side of the truck door, the light came on. No not in the truck, but in my head. Who of all would want to take away my quiet time with the Lord? Who would want to steal my peace of mind? No one but Satan. Satan used who ever to ruin, that particular day of hunting for me.
John 10:10 the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. If Satan thinks he can do this in a deer stand he will.
Satan thought he had stolen my deer stand from me, not so. He tried to kill my desire for the Lord, Not so. He thought he had destroyed my quiet time, not so.
That evening we readjusted my chair, repositioned my table, and aligned my camo screen.
John 10:10 says I have come that they may have life , and have it to the full, even in a deer stand.
