This poem is targeted to those adults who are caught up in our fast paced world, wondering if there is a way out. I call it the world of rush, rush, gotta get things done.
I welcome suggestions on how to improve the style, content, format and focus of this piece.

People going here, people going there – rush, rush gotta get things done – look out for that car!
Gotta work to eat – What about these bills? Can I pay the rent this month?
Week flies by, busy, busy – gotta get things done... the pace gets faster and faster.
People seem cold and distant, to busy to care – gotta get things done!
A devilish scheme to quicken the pace, a distraction of sorts …darkness must remain.
But to slow the pace and ponder… questions would certainly arise, waiting to be birthed into the
world of rush, rush, gotta get things done… quite by surprise!
Soul questions, destiny and more – Why am I here? What is my purpose? Is there a God who loves me?
Answers, answers - where to look? Can you help me? Will you love me?
Evil, evil all around …no time to care …gotta get things done – the darkness grows darker.
Is there anyone out there willing to swim up stream against the flow of me, myself, and I?
Watched the news, looking for answers – evil, evil all around – the darkness grows darker.
No answers here. What is truth, and where do I find it?
Daily observing people…people observing the days – worshiping the god of gotta get things done.
Am I one of them, or does my destiny shine much brighter?
Stumbling through the pain and broken promises of a life not realized,
I cried out to God and found peace!
Tears long trapped inside began to flow down my face like hot wax newly melted,
and suddenly I realized that I was home.
As my spirit continued it’s soul cry – destiny was in sight, and it was bright...
no darkness,only light.
You see, the sojourner has come home… and through the pain and tears –
Jesus reached out to hold me near.
Now if you think that I am mad…let me make you a little madder...
for if you seek the truth and can not find it,don’t give up just yet.
Cry out and God will answer, give Him your pain and your past – surrender!
Let go of the god of rush, rush gotta get things done and slow the pace to ponder...
Faith is personal - let go of religion so you can find relationship,
for only the Holy Spirit can guide you!
Teach me Jesus, Master of all, dear Lord and Savior!
Thank You for the answers!
