Let me tell the story of Jesus Christ the Son. even as a child some new He was special.
He started in a rugged stall,
To answer His Fathers call.
So we can stand before our God,
Do you think this is odd?
The kings traveled many miles,
To come and worship this Special Child.
Brought Him gifts like you never hear,
Of gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
Shepard’s murmured but did not talk,
Tired after that long cold walk.
To see the Child, the Light of lights,
They sit in vigil all those nights.
As He grew they gathered round,
All the people of the town.
To listen to a parable,
Lifted them made them full,
He’s here for the likes of us,
To stop our drinking from bitter cups.
He holds us close and calls us friend,
Protecting us to the very end.
I thank God He sent His Son,
And He is the only one.
Our wickedness He defeats,
So we can walk those golden streets.
