I wrote this poem as a tribute to an older cousin and his wife, who have endure her MS that she has sufferred for a very long time. He still takes care of her and never leaves her side. This is a tribute to their unfailing, and enduring love!
When happiness really finds us,
and sweet tranquility fills our minds.
When cupids arrow does pierce our hearts,
we know true love never dies.
When adversity overwhelms us,
and sometimes tears do fill our eyes,
as long as we are always together Liz,
our true love will never die.
When I made that first sweet promise,
before God to always love you true,
No matter what lifeís demands did bring,
I did always remain true to you.
In my eyes you are still the same to me,
as when you first became my lovely bride.
And I will always cherish our moments ,
for in our hearts true love still lies.
And no matter what happens in our lives,
all the worldly problems that come our way.
I want our love to always be remembered,
with the lasting beauty of our wedding day.
For you gave me the light thatís in my eyes,
and the soft happy glow that fills my smile.
And know Liz, that I will always love you,
because life with you has been so worthwhile.
