SIMPLY COUNTING BLESSINGS, SHOWING APPRECIATION LIKE THAT ONE LEPER(HE CAME BACK TO SAY THANK YOU) AMONG THE TEN THAT WERE HEALED.
2009 is fresh and for us, it is a very new year.
Newness is a beginning; any beginning is expected to hold promises;
Promises of unfulfilled desires coming to fulfillment,
Broken dreams, patched, mended and becoming whole and real.
Old disappointments rejuvenated, becoming new and signs of great appointments surfacing.
The past year’s many discomforts re-awakened but now clothed as new cushions, of coziness and comfort.
Tears-of-old wiped dry and the resultant answers to old persistent prayers miraculously surfacing
We indeed are full of expectations at the dawn of a new year
We, as expectant people, have roles to play to fuel into motion in the right direction, the transportation of our long awaited basketful of blessings
Like Daniel who did not relent in prayers until he received an answer, even though he did not know that there was an obstacle in the person of the Prince of Persia holding back the incoming answer to his prayers, he persisted.
We must plan well to plan this year and when, better than at the beginning, where it is all still very fresh with God guiding the helm of affairs, the Holy Spirit’s position not compromised in any way and Jesus Christ at centre stage right in the limelight
Step by step in wisdom, perseverance and consistency towards the vision and it shall be well………………………….
THE ABOVE IS AN ARTICLE THAT WAS WRITTEN AT THE START OF THE YEAR 2009
I SIT BEFORE MY PC AND REMININCE, LOOKING BACK AT THE EVENTS THAT MADE UP MY YEAR
I AM IN AWE OF THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY
GREAT, MAJESTIC, ALL-KNOWING, ALL- SEEING, MERCIFUL AND EVER LOVING
I LOOK BACK IN APPRECIATION AND AM EVER SO GRATEFUL FOR THE WAY HE WENT AHEAD OF ME, SMOOTHING EVERY CROOKED PATH, LAYING HIS PLANS FOR MY LIFE IN THE YEAR 2009 AND ESPECIALLY THANKING HIM FOR ALL THOSE THAT HE MADE AVAILABLE AROUND ME
FAMILY, FRIENDS, HELPERS, ENCOURAGERS, SUPPORTERS, FRIENDS-INDEED!
HE MADE A WAY WHERE THERE SEEMED TO BE NOWAY,
GAVE ME COMFORT WHERE I FELT ALL ALONE AND HELPLESS, HE ENCOURAGED ME IN HIS WORD AND THROUGH PEOPLE WHERE I NEEDED STRENGTH
I TRULY GIVE THANKS FOR HOW THE YEAR HAS BEEN THUS FAR; THROUGH THICK AND THIN, HE PROVED HIMSELF ALL THE WAY
ALL GLORY AND ADORATION BE TO HIM FOREVER, LOOKING FORWARD TO AN EVEN MORE GLORIOUS YEAR, 2010!
