All of a sudden there was the noise of people talking. They got closer to Bartimaeus and his dad Timaeus. Bartimaeus was blind from birth he never was able to see what our world looked like.
"Son guess who is coming down the road," Timaeus asked.
"Who?" Said Bartimaeus.
Timaeus got excited, "It is Jesus."
Bartimaeus, got this big smile on his face, "You mean Jesus the one who has done all the miracles."
"Yes son, maybe he can heal you," Timaeus exclaimed as Jesus arrived.
Bartimaeus cried out loudly, "Jesus, son of David have mercy on me!"
"Bartimaeus, my son come over here," said Jesus as he smiled.
Timaeus helped Bartimaeus get up and walk over to Jesus.
"What do you want me to do for you," Jesus asked.
Bartimaeus felt wowed because he was able to meet the Savior in person, "I can not see, and I want to be healed."
"Because you believed in me you sight is now healed," said Jesus.
"At once Bartimaeus could see, "Wow, I can actually see! Thank you Jesus."
As Jesus turned around and walked away.
Bartimaeus still in shock not believing what just happened said, "dad the sky, its blue, what a beautiful color."
Timaeus wanted to show his son what real color looks like, so he pointed at some flowers a few feet away, "Son you have not seen anything yet. Look over there on the ground those are flowers. Look at the different colors."
"Those colors are so beautiful," said Bartimaeus.
As the two started to walk away Bartimaeus started to ponder just how blessed he was," I wonder how many people take there vision for granted. It is amazing to see what things really looks like and how colorful the world is."
Timaeus reflected on what his son just said, "You know son your right people take most things for granted."
Bartimaeus and his family that night had a feast and praised the Lord for his goodness.
