One of my songs that may be simple, but is very close to my heart. Enjoy:)
My God is Fair

First verse

Bruised and broken they live on the street
I've seen them walking no shoes on their feet
It's the saddest thing that I've ever seen

No clean water anywhere
their clothes leave them almost bare
Lord I can't believe where they've been

And I stand in awe, I stand amazed!
how can people live like this for more than a few days
tell me, what does Justice mean?

Chorus

You've said You're fair, You've said You're just
You've said You're always gonna be there for us
tell me please You're who You say You are.

I guess there's somethings we don't understand
all the complexities of God's mighty hand
but I know, My God Is Fair.

Second verse

"Lord," She cries, her tears fall down
she wipes her eyes, prays without a sound
"How could You take my child from me?

I felt him grow, picked out a name
and I don't know if I'll be the same
Lord, why would You let this be?

When You give children to those who refuse
to even love them, Lord I'm confused.
tell me, What does justice mean?"

(Chorus again)

Bridge

Why the guilty get away?
and why the innocent often pay?
He knows every why.

I might wonder if He's even there.
I might question, is God fair?
but He knows far better than I.

Third verse

Bruised and broken, He walked down the street
God's own begotten, no shoes on His feet
and hung for all of us to see

asked for water, we gave vinigar
gambled His clothes and left Him bare
I just can't believe, how could we?

And I stand in awe, I stand amazed!
how does someone love like this for more than a few days?
tell me, what does all this mean?

Last Chorus

My God is fair, my God is just,
My God is always gonna be there for us
and He is, Who He says He is.

there might be some things we don't understand
all the complexities of God's mighty hand
but I know, My God Is Fair.
