TRUST JESUS TODAY
My mom, sister and I used to go on Thursdays to my grandmothers house for Bible study, and every Thursday turned out to be a horrible day for all of us. We got to where when someone was having a bad day, we would say "its Thursday" even if it was Monday. I wrote this poem during this time.
(Satan’s point of view)
Oh What a wicked wicked day Thursday
Oh yeah…Bible Study at the Beery residence
What good do they think will come of this?
Don’t they have no sense?
Haven’t they yet realized that His word I do despise?
What can I do to stop them today?
Well, I’ll give Vicky a headache
and nothing will go Karen’s way,
the kids will have a bellyache
and I’ll give Sherry the sugar shakes.
And just to ice the cake today,
I’ll give Leann something snide to say,
that will make those tires squeal all the way.
Well looks like my plan in going right,
don’t look like they’ll meet tonight.
Wasn’t that enough to make them miss
just one meeting?
Karen still drove home singing,
Vicky’s ignoring her ears that are ringing
Sherry ate a candy bar
and none of those brats have puked so far.
I’m not sure I understand all this
I was so sure my plan wouldn’t miss
What’s this that they’re saying,
They think they’ve beaten me just by praying?
I don’t know who they think they are
I may not have many Thursdays left
But I’m not done by far,
I’ve got to do something to make them forget this mess.
Okay imps gather round
a problem I have found,
We’ve got to find a way
to stop them by next Thursday
or else I may just lose these four
If they go to………JUST ONE MORE.
