People are important. Irregardless whether they are rich or poor, God loves them all. Men are created in the image God. In another word, we resemble Christ. We are created for His pleasure and He takes delight in us when we draw near to Him. James 4:8a. However precious we are, mankind is plagued with sin, which can only be taken away by the blood of Christ. Sin stains us and draws us away from God.

You don’t have to teach children to lie or steal, and they will know how to do it. As Adam and Eve fell into deception by taking the fruit of death, men therefore perished because of the power of sin enacted by Adam and Eve. In Romans 5:12 it says that just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned. In a sin-stain world we are all condemned to die.

However, God did not just leave us in that condition. He provides a way of escape for us by sending Jesus into this world to die for our sins. John 3:16 says that for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. This life is in the son. Romans 10:9 says that if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God has raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. Yes, sorrowing for our sins and repenting from our wrongs, and confessing Jesus as our Savior bring life.

Jesus volunteers to come to this earth because He wants to do the Father’s will. Philippians 2:6-8. He choose willingly to identify with us, makes Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. He comes to pay the full penalty for sin, so that when we believe in Him, we shall be saved.

Men have a choice either to accept Jesus or reject Him. In John 3:18 we see that those who do not believe in Him is already condemned. In verse 19 we see that men love darkness rather than light, because their deeds are evil. In this sinful world, pains and sufferings abound. How then can we get out of it?

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Him. John 14:6. Through the blood of Jesus we can be washed, cleanse, and be free from sin. The first step is to acknowledge that we are sinners and we need Jesus. When Jesus died on the cross, the whole world’s sin was upon Him. When we believe in Him, sin no longer has a hold on us because of what Jesus had done on the cross.

Life is full of problems, drawing ourselves away from Him is to bring us further into sin and the world. To deny Him is to deny our salvation, which is free in Jesus. He comes to pay that awesome price with His blood. The only way out of sin is through the blood of Jesus. We can have life, if we too, bear the mark of Jesus, believe that He is the Son of God, came into this world to die for you and me, and by believing we shall have eternal life.
