Please be fair and open minded about this article, as a beginner i want to move up in my career as a freelancer.
The mystery of the holy oil is as old as the Bible itself, right from the Old Testament time the oil has always acted as a contact between God and Man. The faith of a man guarantees his future, how? Because a faithless man will have much difficulty in understanding the mystery in using the oil, for the Holy oil works through the touch of faith. The hands of faith will always provoke God to answer. How?
Faith works in two directions
1. A touch in faith: When an Apostle of God touches your forehead, god is provoked to action. Luke 4:40- 41.
2. Receive in faith: The laying of hands and the receiver must correspond in faith before it equals miracles. Luke 8:43 – 48
In the first portion of the Bible we looked at saw how the laying of hands by the Lord Jesus bought about many healings and deliverance for all those that came forward. When the Minister of God calls for the alter call and you come out, indirectly you have the faith that the moment he lays his hands on your forehead, you are healed of all your infirmities. Again let’s take this write up as an example of a minister who touches your soul and the spirit comes upon you and you find yourself after reading manifesting with the power of the Holy Spirit, the touch of faith here is the upliftment you had after reading the write up
The book of Luke 8: 43 – 48 tells us all we need to know about the contact of faith, when a woman who had suffered so much in her life time touched the helm of the Lords garment and the power passed from him to heal the woman of her disabilities.
Because the oil itself is a contact point, when Samuel anointed David as King over Israel, the Bible records tells us that David was moved by the spirit of God and he began to speak like the prophets so also was Saul before he fell out with God. Without faith the Holy oil can not work for your faith as the user or giver will propel your already made answers from Heaven to come down instant the moment the oil is applied. The book of Romans 14:22-23 sums up the whole episode, when it was told the ‘Romans’ never to stop believing and cast doubt out form there life.
Yet the laying of hands has gone towards a new dimension with the increase in false worship, it is difficult to put your head and allow someone filled with evil powers to come in and lay more evil in you, even in the church that is why the book of Hebrews 6:1-2 sounds a clear warning concerning these practices.
The Holy oil is filled with power and the moment the receiver gets a touch of its power from above, it makes that person to perform exploits.
