I am a mother, I am a wife
Trying to live ,a Christian Life
I'm learning alot,But I still don't know
How to show my love, by letting go.
I've always tried ,to fix everything
But it is clear, that's not the way to be.
Since raising my child into an adult
Trying so hard to keep her from hurt
Everything I feared,And kept her from
Seemed to be the place, she wanted to run.
I stood by my rules, and she continued to rebell
No matter what we tried, it always seemed to fail.
I continued to pray, Lord use her for your plans
But I couldn't let her go,And give God the chance
I saw through my eyes,what I thought she'd be
and through my disappiontments,I began to see
My ways are not his ways, And He knows what's best.
Her whole life will be a struggle, for she chose to test.
I taught her right and wrong, and God instilled it in her
But she chose a different path, what the world has to offer.
Since then I've let go, I placed her in Gods hands
All my hope and trust in believing, God has a plan
Either way she continues, God is still in control
Yes it will always Get better,as I learn to let go.
