He walked on the water
Rode upon the storm,
He entered this fallen world
In lowly human form.
Grace he imparted
To all who would receive,
All they had to do was
Trust Him and believe.
He healed the sick
Restored sight to the blind,
Hearing to the deaf
Peace to the mind.
He calmed the storm
Turned water into wine,
Invited the hungry to
Come and dine.
He filled nets with fish
Baskets with bread,
But claimed no place
To lay his head.
He raised the dead
Cast demons out,
Entreated sinners
To turn their life about.
He was gentle and kind
Loving and warm,
To His precious side
Did the multitudes swarm.
His name is Jesus
Immanuel,
Sent to save the lost
From the devil’s hell.
For this alone His
Precious blood was shed,
To free us from sin
Taking our place instead.
The king of glory
Rose from the grave,
He is alive and well
Still seeking to save.
So come unto Him
All ye weary and rest,
Take shelter in Him
And be eternally blessed.
