It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

TITLE: A VISIT TO THE WHITEHOUSE, or WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

It seems to me there is so little respect in God's House today. Do you agree, or disagree? I'd like your imput on the poem itself, but also on the message it carries. Our God is an Awesome God. He is also the Great Judge.
We’re going to the Whitehouse!
I surely need a new dress.
In case I meet the President,
I want to look my very best!

No he didn’t get my ballot vote,
But, he’s the President of our Nation.
I really owe him my respect;
Because of his special station.

A couple days from today,
We’re going to find a church.
Just ‘cause I’m in Washington,
I can’t leave Jesus in the lurch!

Of course I am away from home.
No one will care just how I dress.
I may wear jeans or even shorts.
Who’ll care if I look a mess?

And then, I think for a moment,
God is the King of this Universe!
When it was just a President,
I almost had to rehearse!

How could I have viewed my Savior,
Not worthy of my very best?
He gave His very life for me!
How did I expect to be blessed?

I know He’s interested in my heart,
But, what do my thoughts really say?
He is the One I’m worshipping,
And I’d forgotten that today.

Dear Lord, forgive my disrespect.
Thank-you for convicting my heart.
May I never take you for granted,
Nor from this conviction, depart.

No, I don’t care what others think,
Nor even what they seem to do.
But as for me, and my household,
We’ll continue to honor You!
