JOHN 1:1-5 God's Word is the greatest gift on earth. The only word that will change lives with or without education. We need to appreciate this wonderful gift of God, Himself!
What is the nationís greatest asset?
How about giving it a good guess?
Itís truly the greatest masterpiece;
But, just wait Ďtill I tell you the rest.
Itís drenched in the tears of contrite hearts,
And worn by the fingers of dear saints.
Itís the pillow, resting weary heads.
Itís a beauty, no artist can paint!
Itís expounded by great intellects;
And breaks the fetters of weary slaves;
Carries pain from untimely parting;
The sting of death, and gloom of the grave!
It teaches, and gives understanding;
And wisdom, if we only will ask.
Yes, this is the very Word of God;
The only Book which will always last!
Atheists have tried to destroy it;
And to hide from the truth thatís within.
Science has tried to prove it is wrong.
Yet, there is no way that they can win!
The Bible is the greatest asset,
It will stand throughout eternity.
Each page points to the living Christ,
Who shed His own blood on Calvary!
Though all else fails, that is known to man;
The Bible will always, firmly stand;
Beautiful gift, of a loving God,
That will lead us to our Beulah Land!
