This is a song for children to sing, specifically for Easter.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH PEOPLE?
By Mary Lou Tiner
What's wrong with people anyway?
They're acting kind of funny.
Don't they know that Easter
Is a whole lot more than bunnies!
They hop around but miss the point.
What are they celebrating?
Don't they know He's risen from the dead!
Marshmallow and chocolate
Candy treats are fine
But there's something more important on my mind.
The sweetest thing they'll ever see
The empty cross of Calvary
Don't they know He's won the victory?
Hiding Easter Eggs is fun,
Searching through the grass
But there's just one thing that I would like to ask:
Are they hiding from the One,
Who's waiting now for them to come?
Don't they know the Victory is won?
Easter Dresses, Easter Hats,
Shining Easter Shoes
But there's something even better I would choose.
A pretty dress can't hide their sin,
But if they'd let the Saviour in
Don't they know the Victory would begin?
