This poem is a dedication to Irish singer, David Parkes, who witnesses around the world to his miracle curing after visiting the Yugoslavian village of Medugorje.
SOLDIER OF HEAVEN
Transcended, we listened, your voice filled the Church,
Godís altar your platform, inspiration your verse.
Love flowed like an ocean on the shores of the soul,
A message to all to return to the Fold.
You stood before us a miracle of life,
Sustained by Godís mercy and strength from His Light,
Words of conviction impressed on our minds,
The power the Lord gives to those whom He finds,
Worthy of blessings, and gifts so divine,
As your voice which we heard reach the sublime.
In our prayers you live always, please donít forget,
The souls you transcended and now leave bereft.
We wait for your coming as we walk with the Lord,
And again we will listen to our heavenly reward.
