this is poem that was inspired to me by the song "Where is the love" by the Black Eyed Peas.
good video and message. i know the poem needs some work. im not satisfied with it yet. but at least give me a few suggestions, thanks!
Once upon a time there lived fairness, and equality.
When starving children didnít cry,
And love filled these empty gaps that
You and I so often stumble in.
Trembling in fear,
Tears running down,
Did you die with the rest of the world?
Far, far away
Love used to rule in the land of promise.
When only love once mattered,
Love is the rarest of all flowers.
But I guess you picked them all.
No more beauty left to share and spread.
The beauty I once saw was in your eyes,
Disappeared once long ago.
Help became just a thing of the past.
When the drugs couldnít enhance someoneís life to their fullness,
When the world didnít revolve around you,
When the sex and the alcohol couldnít replace a motherís love,
When the time was slow and not so fast,
When acceptance was wide,
When the love was stronger than the synthetic materialism.
The greatest test between man and A God,
Once upon a time was passed and succeeded,
Now upon a dream we say good-bye.
Addicted to the traumatic war and destruction,
will we be ones to murder ourselves?
Without one doubt
love is scarce.
Keep your gold, and those diamond rings,
Take your paper money;
And the rest of your material things.
Once upon a time love wasnít scarce.
Once upon a time there lived fairness and equality.
