1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

TITLE: EMOTION, OR STABILITY?

What do you depend upon to know you are forgiven, and in Christ Jesus? We all need to give this some thought. How could I better cover it?
It doesn’t take our emotions
To know that we are in the Lord;
It only takes a commitment,
Firmly believing in His Word.

God’s Word is filled with promises,
Which will stabilize our being;
When our emotions are not stirred,
No great miracles, we’re seeing.

Still, God gives us sweet contentment;
Though there is trouble all around...
There is assurance in our hearts,
God’s protection will still abound!

Even when we can’t seem to “feel” it;
And our lives may just feel dry;
Stand firmly upon your faith in Him,
We don’t need to know the “why?”

It’s not our outward appearance
That draws our dear Savior so near!
He searches the depth of our hearts,
Even though we don’t “feel Him here!”

There are times when emotion will come,
Yet, it’s not what’s needed to grow.
We must be steady in God’s Word,
Then, the depths of God’s love, we’ll know!
