This is the beginning of my first suspense novel I have included the small amount that you would read on the back of the book. This book works in days and times each chapter is an area of time.
A murder takes place in the small Christian town of Emblem a young atheistic detective named Johnathan (John for sort) Thomas is sent to investigate. He finds out that the victim (Allen Green) was killed by crucifixion. The towns people think that it was just a murderer but one man named Aaron Jones believes that it is Satan's work. Everyone thinks he's crazy but Aaron won't give up the idea that Satan has a hand in all this. But the normal Christians continue to say that Satan was in the Bible and has no hand in thing today. John ignores Aaron for the time... until the next murder this time the murderer left a clue around the cross is a Satanist circle. John follows the clues into the ruins of part of the town that was destroyed in a deadly fire. John has a run in with the murderer and is nearly killed. He now knows that whoever it is it is not human. Now John must find out the truth of this mysterious killer and even if he does will he stop him in time before he massacres the whole town? The Truth awaits...

Day 1
Chapter 1
15:30
It was another normal day in Emblem for Katrina Elliott. She was not the tallest person in the world nor the thinnest or prettiest but she managed to get by. What she did have was the brains and a heart that made her made people happy. She was on her way home after school but she decided to take a detour instead of walking directly home.
A man from church had asked her to come to his house so he could give something to her. Katrina felt that this was as good as any. She walked up to the door and rang the doorbell... nothing so she rang it again... still nothing. Katrina then decided to knock, she knocked three times... still no one answered. Then she tried the doorknob which easily turned in her hand and opened.
“Hello?” Katrina's voice echoed through the house. Katrina walked in he footsteps echoed on the hardwood floor, she looked around she saw nothing out of place... then her eyes fell on the back door which was open “So that's where you,” Katrina said to herself. Katrina walked to the back door and looked out “Hey I... AAAHHH!!!!!!”
