Hear the drip-drop, pitter-patter
Of rain’s ever-present chatter.
It splashes on my nose and feet
And follows me on down the street.
Rain seems to be just having fun
While waiting for the warm spring sun,
Then climbs a rainbow back again,
To gather with his raindrop kin.
They’ll settle in a soft, warm cloud,
But rain down again, when allowed.
For now, they’re slowly drifting by
And cold, wet earth begins to dry.
