TITLE: Ever Walking by Them By 05/02/09 |

This child is a quiet one,
He never talks too much,
Always gets his work done,
To silence does he clutch.
All the children laugh and play,
Thinking him quite odd.
Nothing does he ever say,
The path of quietness does he trod.
No one gets to know him,
They leave him quite alone.
If only they would understand,
His talents were never shown.
For yes he did have talents,
That no one ever knew,
For though he did not speak much,
He sang a mighty tune.
Yes singing was his passion,
And music was his knack,
In these he was a great one,
And nothing did he lack.
Though all the talents mentioned,
No one ever cared.
Ever walking by him,
Their love they never shared.
The woman is a quiet one,
She never looks that clean,
Her clothes are plain and humble,
Her body is quite lean.
No one gets to know her,
They leave her quite alone.
If only they would realize,
The burdens she bemoans.
Yes, she did have burdens,
That no one ever saw.
Her husband left her early,
From his tragic fall.
She struggles to make the payment,
Her house she can't afford,
Her bills does she lament,
Many troubles does she store.
No one ever cares,
About her war torn life,
Ever walking by her,
Leaving her in her strife.
Why do we do this?
Judge one by their face.
Ever walking by them,
Not ever giving grace.
Though no one saw his talents,
Though no one saw her pain,
There is a holy God above,
That for them, he was slain.
For the Lord He sees the hearts of men,
And to Him,they're all the same,
Fallen and wicked,
Always bringing shame.
If this is how God sees them,
Then why do not we?
For in the eyes of a Christian,
Should the love of Christ be seen.
