Just take my shame, just take my grief,
Just take my doubt, my unbelief,
Just take my fears, every sinful work,
Just take away every single hurt.
Just take my sorrow,my stubbornness,
Just take my guilt, unfaithfulness,
Just take my pride, all my foolish greed,
because only You is what I need.
Just take my apology for all the pain
That I've caused to Your holy name.
Just take my talents, just take my gifts,
Lord, this is all that I truly wish.
That You take my feelings and my thoughts,
All my desires and all my wants,
You take my will,You take my love
and You make it like Yours above.
(Optional: Third verse
Seven minutes into Saint Patrick's day
When I gave my life in a whole new way,
I read about Mary Magdalene,
How Jesus forgave even her sin.
So I closed my eyes and bowed my head,
There were only three words that I said,
And then I cried at fourteen
More tears than you've ever seen.
Because with those words I'll never forget
What I meant the day I said, "JUST TAKE IT.")
MY HEART,MY SOUL,
TAKE MY EVERYTHING YOU KNOW,
CAUSE I DON'T WANT IT ANYMORE
IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU AS MY LORD.
MY SELF, TAKE ALL I AM.
THAT'S ALL I GIVE, THAT'S ALL I CAN;
THERE IS NO GOOD THAT I CAN DO
IF I DON'T CHOOSE TO FOLLOW YOU.
JUST TAKE AWAY WHAT I CHOSE TO BE,
JUST TAKE IT,JUST TAKE IT ALL FROM ME.
Just take my advice, my lesson learned,
Because now is the time, it's your turn.
Just take up your cross, follow the Son,
you won't regret it, in the long run.
Just take His blessings, just take His peace,
Just take the faith that will never cease.
Just take the time to bow your head,
Then tell everyone that you've said,
JUST TAKE IT.
