TRUST JESUS TODAY
Hmmmm, I think I’m beginning to run out of ideas of things to write. That’s okay. I’m finding good books to read and working on my writing skills, expanding my knowledge, and learning to trust God for my future. This time I had a simple but funny idea that I wanted to try: a list of phobias. Some of these are real, some of these are from the Far Side comics, and some of these I even made up. (and most of mine have unscientific names since I’m too lazy to research that) But they’re all either funny or interesting, at least to yours truly. (A few may be offensive to some people so I withheld the definition and you can find them yourself if you want. They are marked with a *) And there is a point here like usual! Enjoy. I apologize if someone actually has some of these phobias and feels offended. If you can think of more I could add them to the list and give you credit!

(Far Side comic: In the picture we see a dr. looking out the window of a tall building at a booth hung out of it by a metal arm. A man is locked inside with lots of snakes and yelling as he looks out the window of the booth. It says “Professor Gallaher and his controversial technique of simultaneously confronting the fear of heights, snakes, and the dark.” This is one that you have to see to really appreciate.)
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” II Timothy 1:7
“So that we may boldy say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Hebrews 13:6
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” I John 4:18
Fact: when I was younger I used to be afraid of many things including the dark, dogs (I got bit in the cheek as a child and needed stiches), bath robes (don’t laugh!), embarrassing myself, and talking to people, especially girls. Thanks to God’s help, I have overcome many of those fears. My family owns a big collie dog, I’m not as afraid of the dark, and I’m much less shy in public. I still need to overcome my fear of the future, failure, and not reaching my dreams, but God won’t give up on me or you.
