this is my first attempt at writing for children so all helpful input is welcome.
It is a warm, sunny day and Peewee is anxious to get outside to play. He barks twice and runs to the back door to wait for someone to open it.

As Peewee runs out the door he see's Daisy, the big golden retriever waiting at the fence. She calls to him so he runs over. "Whats going on?" the little Pomeranian asks excitedly. "There is a new dog across the alley." Daisy, gleefully, answers. They both turn to look in the direction of the alley. "Oh Boy" Peewee shouts."we have to go meet Him!

Daisy jumped the back fence of her yard but Peewee had to figure a different way to get out of his yard. Ah ha! someone left the gate unlatched, he would go that way.
Daisy and Peewee meet in the alley and walk over to the fence where the new neighbor has moved in.
A large brown boxer runs to greet them. " Hi my name is Spike." Peewee and Daisy both tell Spike their names and all about the neighborhood as they run along the fence gleefully. Spike had come from the dog pound to live with his new family and is very happy to have made two new friends.

Later that evening as Peewee curls up on his soft bed he knows he will dream about all the fun he had earlier with his friends.
