Come follow Me.
I know it's dark -- so dark
I know the air is cold
And the strident voices make you tremble.
Yet I am here. You hear my voice,
That's all you need right now
Look back, my child
To when there was light
Look back -- you saw my eyes, you saw my love
You cannot see me now, but you knew me then.
I'm here. I am the same
Come follow me.
The path is hidden, and you hear no sound
Save of mocking and blame
Yet listen, listen. Do you hear it now?
The still small voice?
"Come this way. One small step --- and trust Me."
The path is hidden, but there is a path
And it's not hidden from Me.
One step. In the blackness.
A small step -- seek My face. Another, trusting Me.
A bend. Confusion. Keep trusting.
I know the path.
"How long, Lord, without knowing?"
Till the dawn breaks on a new day.
On a new you.
"Let him who walks in the dark who has no light trust in the Name of the Lord and rely on his God." (Isaiah 50:10)
