TITLE: True Faith in Jesus Christ is Life Changing!

There is a simple, seemingly almost forgotten truth in Godís Word. Real faith in Jesus Christ, true salvation is life changing!
2Co 5:17-18 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (18) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; (kjv)
We hear much of faith in Jesus or faith in God. There are few who donít claim to believe. Here in Texas, we have churches on almost every corner and you seldom come across a self-proclaimed unbeliever. This, on the surface, would seem to be a good thing. I mean, why would it not be good? What a blessing, living in a community where nearly everyone you talk to has faith in Jesus Christ or at least in God.
I am convinced that Satan, the great liar and deceiver, has blinded the hearts and minds of a great multitude of folks today! Did you know that no one knows when they are being deceived, until their eyes are opened to the truth? The problem is not that people donít have faith in Jesus; it is that they do not have faith in the Jesus Christ of Godís Holy Scriptures.
Do you remember what God used the Apostle Paul to say in the book of Galatians?
Gal 1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: (7) Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. (8) But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. (9) As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (kjv)
Yes, there is only one true gospel, which means everything else out there in pure deception! No, it does not matter how great and wonderful it looks or sounds. Simply put, the truth is the truth and everything else is a lie. So why, you might ask, are so many following a lie?
Godís answers are always so plain and clear.
Mat 7:13-15 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: (14) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (15) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (kjv)
I challenge you!
2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? (kjv)

Examine your faith!
Can you remember that moment when God spoke to your heart? Can you remember when He showed you were a wicked sinner? Can you remember when conviction gripped your soul and you cried out for forgiveness and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and save you? Can you remember how your life changed? How suddenly you had a love for God and His Word and how you loved to be in church around Godís people and how the gospel preaching and singing stirred your soul?
Can you remember?
If not, please, if the Lord has spoken to your heart call upon Him right now!
Rom 10:8-13 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; (9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (11) For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (12) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. (13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
