Remember my song "Live and Love", the parody of the Sonic Adventure 2 song "Live and Learn"? Well, I just couldn't resist trying my ear at "Open Your Heart" from Sonic Adventure. If you've never heard this song before or even heard of it, don't worry. Most members at FW probably won't know either, unless they beat the game or heard it on the internet. I highly recommend listening to the original though because (1 it would help you critique this and (2 it totally rocks! (If you're interested, you can check out the song at youtube and look for Open Your Heart by Crush 40... or just scroll to the end!) Anyway, this is about the coming horrors of the end of the world described in Revelation and how Jesus can rescue us before it's too late... if we turn to Him. However, that theory could be wrong and maybe it would be too late to receive salvation. I'm not sure but I just thought this would sound good. What do you think? How could I improve this first draft? Thank you! Parodies can be tough to make!

And one last thing. If you'd like to hear more Christian parodies of popular music, you definitely need to check out the band ApologetiX. They are funny and amazing.
Seven trumpets sounding
Four dark horsemen riding
A third of the stars falling
The start of end times!

Strange and evil creatures
Bleak signs floating in the sky
A phony promises peace
But never can deliver

Now the time has come for it all to end, all of hell break loose
Destruction's gonna hit us some time. Where do we go and what do we do?
I can see the battle lines being drawn. Two sides that will fight until their last breath.
Only one will come out with victory. Do you know which could never lose?

(Chorus>)
Don't hold on any longer (It's time to finally let go)
Your life's meant for so much more (Who knows how long it will last?)
There's One who wants to set you free (And love you like no other)
He'll keep you safe from the danger (And show you what you gotta do)

OPEN YOUR EYES AND RECEIVE YOUR SIGHT.

Floods and earthquakes coming
Wars and plagues occuring
Thousands of people dying
Panic and total chaos

You try your best to save yourself but with no success
Has the answer now come to you? Say yes to the only way!

(Chorus)

OPEN YOUR EYES... AND YOU'LL BE FREE

(Guitar Solo)

When it's all done, God will set all things right again
Just breathe, brace yourself, and get ready for eternity!

Your life's meant for so much more (Who knows how long it will last?)
He'll keep you safe from the danger (And show you what you gotta do)

I SAID OPEN YOUR EYES, DUDE!

(Chorus)

OPEN YOUR EYES AND RECEIVE YOUR SIGHT.
