When a sinner repents, Heaven rejoices,
The angels sing praises in glad chorals of glee,
All Heaven resounds to the sound of their voices
Giving glory to God for a sinner set free.
Most men see no reason for joyful expression,
This event is to them most unworthy of note,
They see no importance in Christian profession,
Their hopes are all worldly and God is remote.
For years I subscribed to the world’s way of thought,
Separated from God, to truth I was blind;
Its wisdom and maxims and notions I’d bought;
By wilful rebellion my life was defined.
But Jesus the Shepherd who seeks out the lost
Searched for me, found me and then rescued my soul;
Through repentance from sin, His death on the cross,
Accepted by faith made this lost sinner whole.
When a sinner repents Heaven rejoices,
The angels sing praises in glad chorals of glee,
All Heaven resounds to the sound of their voices
Giving glory to God for a sinner set free.

This is a lovely poem of testimony. Quite right, the world takes no pleasure in God's salvation of sinners. That sort of humility is beneath them. But praise God, angels rejoice! Good job!
