I just sat down at the computer and began to write and this is what came out. I ask that you read it prayerfully and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal His truth to you. God Bless.
To my fellow-laborers in the Gospel
Jesus told his disciples not to go to the Gentiles. But he sent Paul to be an apostle to them. He obviously was not contradicting himself. The gospel was first preached to the Jews and then to the Gentiles according to the word. Now, we know that in the matter of gender the gospel was first preached to men-male. They were the first called, in the same way as the Gentiles, women were considered secondary. Jesus referred to the Gentiles as dogs, aren't women being treated similarly when it comes to ministry? If we rely on man's interpretation of what the bible expresses God's complete position on women is, we are good for little more than bearing children, and caring for men. Not participating in the final harvest. When I look at Anna in the bible she did not have a subservient role, but she too stood in the gap, along with Simeon, for the nation of Israel until the Messiah was revealed.
I just read an article about women Apostles and how the body should be merciful and gracious with women that have mistakenly taken on this title. He went on to say that we can not put God into a box with his own word and thus it is possible for God to use women in the interim of men returning to their rightful places. We do not serve a God that must alter His will based on the failings of man. If God was totally against women in ministry, He could easily just raise up another obedient male. The article goes on to say that women should refrain from titles that would cause any disturbance, but he stressed that men who did not assert their title would hinder their ministries. Why would God not speak clearly to all of these women that truly want to know His will for their lives. Do we serve a God that would play such a cruel joke on a woman that he would equip her to serve and then put her in a box?
Accorcding to many male preachers, women can't find themselves in our Omnipotent, Omnipresent, All-knowing God. I refuse to believe that God can't speak for himself and give his people clear direction in this area. He said that if we seek Him that we would find Him. I believe that there is a perfect order for the body of Christ and everyone has a part to play. Was Paul really telling women to keep silent in the church? And if so why doesn't he backtrack and tell us when to open our mouths. The Gospel of Jesus Christ must be preached. I don't have to be a part of "The Church Government". The bible says that if I suffer with Him I will also reign with Him. So we will all "rule" when it is all over anyway. Paul reprimands the church for going to court because he tells them that they will judge angels. He didn't exclude women in this statement, unless we asume that he was only talking to the men of that city. If the Spirit of Truth lives in every believer why am I not equipped to judge or administrate. We are instructed not to walk after the flesh but after the Spirit. If this is the case then, my being excluded because of fleshly weakness is not a plausible argument. We are dealing with the Spirit not my carnal nature. It was Eve's carnal nature that allowed her to be deceived. Was Adam any less in the flesh because of his gender? I think not.
I refuse to allow myself to be chained to the doctrines of men. I am free from the law of sin and death through the blood of Christ Jesus. If I am seeking Him then he will correct and chastise me according to His word. According to the law Jesus could not be a priest, but with a new administration there must come a new law. And that new law declares that there is no more Jew nor Greek. I can't claim that I understand everything that Paul wrote about women in the Word. But, I can say this "Woe unto me if I do not preach the Gospel." This was truly written from my heart. I can't tell you why I've loved to preach and teach all of my life. I can't tell you why in Barstow CA in 1996 I heard the Lord tell me to preach the Gospel and told me that I was an Apostle. I can't really explain why I have a hunger for people to be free and know the awesome miracle working power of God. I do know that these are things that please my Father and these are the things that I will be found doing when this world is all over.
For now I will let all of the Super-Apostles debate the validity of female ministers, because the fields are to ripe for harvest for me to stay in the barn and argue with the other reapers. What is underneath your work clothes really doesn't matter, when you're working and drenched with sweat. I pray that this made sense. Be encouraged my sisters. Our Father is about to send for us, and let us be found doing the work of Him that sent us.
