Rebecca Bloomsbury (Isla Fisher) is a journalist with a driven ambition to reach the fashion magazines, to combine her desire for designer clothes and high fashion with her work. With a healthy disrespect for social etiquette Rebecca charms her way into a stepping stone position and propelles herself and the money magazine, led by Luke Brandon (Hugh Dancy) to higher ground. Struggling with facing the consequences of too much shopping on credit, Rebecca turns to her parents Graham (John Goodman) and Jane Bloomwood (Joan Cusack). Hiding from her debt becomes impossible as does Rebecca’s behaviour until she transforms her ways.
