I almost asked you --
You,
casually strolling through the cosmetics section
needing assistance
to find just the right shade
to match your skin tone.
I saw them --
faint hint of bluish shadows
on the paleness of your inner arm
as we applied the samples;
too dark,
too peachy,
just right.
I glanced at your eyes,
and that's when
I almost asked you,
"Are you OK?"
But, polite professional, I said,
"Will that be all?"
