A Prisoner of Her Past

She opens her eyes with glee
To see his familiar face
Hanging above her small form
Lying in her sleeping place

Using words and tickles
He overcomes her fears
But soon he is torturing her
Ignoring her silent tears

She should have been held lovingly
With kisses on her head
Not used like a harlot
Brutalized in her bed

Lust is a horrible thing
When used against a child
Who has no means of defense
Whose ways are meek and mild

So she was used in a crime
Perpetrated against her and at last
She became numb to everything
A prisoner of her past
